The Greenbelt, a
place to play…
Neighborhood parks are just the beginning. They connect
all residents to a large series of interconnected, pedestrian-friendly
greenbelts covering more than 400 acres. Miles of tree-lined foot paths
and walking trails connect the community’s people with its diverse cultural,
recreational, and entertainment facilities. From basketball, soccer,
tennis, and t-ball to tot lots and play areas, toy boats and fishing,
children of all ages will find something of interest. And for “ big”
kids, Morrison Ranch offers the rolling green hills, water, and sand
of spectacular Business Center.
Details Rooted in History
The groves of pecans and date palms. The east/west greenbelt’s
water feature, reminiscent of agricultural irrigation practices. The
preservation of precious natural resources, resulting in the use of reclaimed
water to maintain all public spaces. The incorporation of the family’s farm
headquarters and landmark grain silos in the heart of bustling Town Center.
The paths and trails and interconnected green spaces which encourage residents
to spend time outside, to meet one another, to walk rather than drive. Arterial
roads located along historic section lines, leaving only residential roads to
wind through neighborhoods. All in honor of a lifestyle that reveres the land
and honors the natural environment.
Planting Seeds for the Future
Just as the land’s agricultural past plays an important part in the development of
Morrison Ranch, so too does its future as a “community with character” — a
community that continues to revere the land and honor the natural environment.
To that end, more than 4,425 new trees have been planted in Higley Groves alone
— nature’s landmarks of the future.
